Anti-condensation barrier

An easier, cost-effective solution for managing condensation issues on uninsulated metal roofs.

How it works

Solution

The DRIP-BARRIER on the roof panel uses a specific method to trap moisture in special pockets formed in the membrane. This moisture is held until ambient conditions fall below the dew point, at which point it evaporates as part of normal humidity.

Problem

At a certain temperature and humidity, the dew point is reached, leading to moisture condensation on the underside of uninsulated roofs. As condensation accumulates, drops of water start to fall, causing damage to the contents below.

Technology

DRIP-BARRIER is a self-adhesive membrane, which is integrated to the roof panel during forming process. This means it's immediately ready to install along with the panels. The barrier is durable, resistant to ageing, and adds extra layer of protection to the roof.

How to use it

Capillarity

Capillarity action is the ability of a liquid to flow in narrow spaces without the assistance of external forces like gravity. The unique properties of water also allows it to flow and gather within porous substances. As a result, water can spread through the DRIP-BARRIER and rise against gravity.

To counteract capillary action, DRIP-BARRIER should not be applied to overlap areas of a metal roof panel or to the edge of the final panel near the gutter.

Ventilation

To ensure the DRIP-BARRIER functions optimally, it's crucial to have adequate ventilation in the building. Fresh air should be supplied from the sides, while warm and humid air should be allowed to escape at the highest point of the building.

Cleaning

The DRIP-BARRIER should be cleaned with water, preferably using a hose or pressure washer. Ensure that there is a distance of at least 1 metre between the washer and the surface being cleaned.
